You can criticize the Rangers organization for on ice decisions, but man they know how to throw a party. For the second year in a row I attended the draft party and both years I had an outstanding time.
Although this year, I think I may have had one to many adult beverages. Here's a pictorial timeline of my night...
You know you're in trouble when you start the night drinking Genny Cream Ales on the LIRR on the way in to the draft party.
Great job using souvenir cups on the draft beer. I think I'm picking up on a trend here.
Big time thanks to Rangers PA announced Joe Tolleson, who not only let my buddy and me sit in McIrath, Hagelin & Thomas' seats until they arrived, but he also made an announcement during the draft party reminding everyone to purchase Boogaard Memorial t-shirts.
Speaking of Tolleson here he is trying to explain to McIlrath why some idiot blogger is sitting in his seat. BTW, how big is McIlrath?
This is supposed to be a pic of Carl Hagelin being interviewed. The funny thing is this is how everything looked to me at this point.
The line to take a pic with these guys was out of control so instead of getting one with them I just took one of someone else with them. And that someone else was the friend of reader Nicole L. whose picture I apparently ruined with my flash. See here
Taco truck right outside the draft party. God I love New York City. Boy did I feel that the next morning.
My body guard buying us Penn Station 32 ouncers for the train ride home. Never, ever a good idea.
Nothing worse than the train ride home from NYC, but we tried to make the best of it. Can't say the same for the woman in the background who looks pretty tired of our antics.
Finally home and the cup is empty.
My thanks again to the Rangers for an outstanding night.
