Alain Vigneault announced today that Henrik Lundqvist will again be the starter at Yankee Stadium tomorrow vs. the Islanders.
Vigneault discussed the benefit of going with Hank for the second straight game at the Stadium (via Blueshirts United)...
"Probably the individual it would help the most is Hank (Henrik Lundqvist). He'll have his bearings, the fact that people (fans) are not right behind (the glass). I think having had a practice and played in a game I think should help him. We all saw how challenging it was for the goaltenders at the beginning of that game (Sunday), so it should help."
...100% agree with Vigneault here. Similar to Sunday, these are two huge points and the Rangers can't afford to fall behind again while Talbot acclimates himself to the new surrounds. Sure the Rangers were able to comeback vs. Devils, but I'm assuming AV would rather not roll the dice again.

tablot has one of the best seats in the house. sure it would be great for him personally to play, but this is what is best for the team. i am sure the kid will enjoy it on the bench.
In hindsight, would have been a cool move for AV to throw Talbot in net in the NJ game after Step's Penalty Shot made it a 4 goal game for the last few minutes of the 3rd, just so the kid could have the experience. Could have been taken the wrong way, maybe insulting to the Devils to throw the back-up in there, but I think most level headed people would have understood.
why is everyone acting like its news that Hank is confirmed. Alain said almost a week ago that Hank would play both of these games.
who ever cared about insulting the devils
@mlsranger With alot of crying and complaining.
@mlsranger epic 3yo style temper tantrum.
Should have made the entire team do push-ups on the ice each time Fatty let one in, while he stood there eating his Donuts "1...2...3...4...I...let...rangers...score!"
