According to Steve Zipay at Newsday, JT Miller skated with the non-game day group on a line with Dominic Moore and Derek Dorsett this morning. Zipay added that Miller will likely make his preseason debut tomorrow in Edmonton.
...it's about time. Would like to see him get a chance to prove himself in the final three preseason games. Even if he did, I'm still not sure it'll be enough to make the opening night roster.
Meanwhile, Alain Vigneault says he will coach from behind the bench tonight, but will be back upstairs tomorrow night.
Originally, Jesper Fast was supposed to play on a line with fellow Swede Oscar Lindberg and Taylor Pyatt tonight, however, Vigneault has switched things up as he'll now be matched up with Brian Boyle and Marek Hrivik. Danny Kristo will replace him on the Lindberg line.
Vigneault told Zipay that the reason for the change is to get Fast playing with a veteran center.
...assuming Vigneault also wants to see if Lindberg and Fast can succeed separately as they have basically been paired together since Traverse.
Zipay also reported that Carl Hagelin practiced in a non-contact jersey on a line with Derick Brassard and Mats Zuccarello. While Ryan Callahan, also in a non-contact jersey, skated with Michael Haley and Yogan.
...there's that Haley-Yogan-Callahan line I've been waiting to see! lol
I know Miller missed the practices and scrimmage, but I'm not sure you can say he's way behind given that all the other kids have only played 1 more game. If he comes out tomorrow, STAYS HEALTHY, and is very visible, I'd say he's got as much a shot as anyone else to make the roster. Another guy to watch is Yogan. If he plays the way he did against the Flyers and maybe puts a puck or 2 in the net, he could leapfrog everyone. 5 days for these kids to earn the right to play for the NY Rangers. Man, I would be leaving everything on the ice. Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!!!

@jasonmesches @TheNYRBlog Could be a DNS issue: you guys recently changed your provider or host and it took a few days to propagate for me. Maybe feedly is behind? I had to change my DNS to google (188.8.131.52) or OpenDNS because my provider was behind
