Yesterday, Carl Hagelin sat down with Jim Cerny at Blueshirts United to discuss his rehab from offseason shoulder surgery...
"There was a little bit of a slow start, but the last three weeks (the shoulder) has been progressing well. I like where it's going. I'm really happy right now. It's fun to be able to do things you like to do. When you're doing all the rehab stuff it can get boring but now I'm more energized because I can do other things."
Here's video of the entire interview including shots of him skating hard during informals...

...great news! Loved watching the video of him flying around the ice. Was praying he didn't catch an edge.
...this will be Hagelin's third season in the NHL, so once he returns from the rehab I'm really looking forward to him being a more constitant player and taking his game to the next level (ie more scoring).
...hoping that AV uses him a ton on the penalty kill. Should lead to a ton of short handed shoring opportunities.
I think hags is gonna start to finish once he gets some more time with legit offensive coaching, so I'd say in the next year or so he's gonna be real dangerous
Hank said he is currently working with the Rangers and hopes to get a contract done before October 3rd (start of the season) so he can focus completely on hockey, but if not will allow talks during the season.
hate to pull an islanders reference here, but from what I've seen, Michael Grabner gets a ton of breakaway opportunities and especially on the penalty kill like Kevin mentioned. Im hoping Hags can turn into that, and actually be able to finish which is not one of Grabner's strengths, but would still like to see him get the breaks Grabner does.
