We did not accidentally publish the same article twice. Rangers prospect and 2013 third round pick Anthony Duclair, who scored two goals in the Quebec Remparts' first game of the season, added two more last night, including a penalty shot goal in which he pulled a "Forsberg."
The penalty shot is the memorable one, but the first goal is equally impressive and perhaps more indicative of what he could potentially bring to the table. Impressive acceleration from his own defensive zone to create a scoring opportunity, and a Messier-esque off wing shot to get on the board. Though you only see this one instance, Duclair used his speed to make plays the entire game.
Duclair also had a primary assist, giving him five points through two games. A small sample size, but a phenomenal start to the season.

From what I understand, he had a leg injury last season that hampered his game even after he came back from it. So, his stock fell hard. Looks solid, and could be the steal.
The kid looks solid through the first two games. However, on that first goal you can tell the quality of competition is awful... look at the space that defenseman gives him, and don't even get me started on the goaltenders positioning on the goal. He still is a couple of years away but excited to see him taking advantage of weak competition.
@TheNYRBlog is this kid starting to look like a steal. I didn't hear much about him pre draft
man if this kid picks up where he left off his rookie year (injuries, personal problems, juggled linemates derailed his season last year), we've got ourselves Gaborik-lite. Was projected to be a top-10 pick this year, but like I said his game fell off a cliff last year. Looking much better and very confident, expect great things from the man!
Was once projected in 1st round. Stock fell. RT @mobilope is (Duclair) starting to look like a steal. I didn't hear much about him pre draft
@Herman_NYRBlog I really try to do my homework on pre draft and I really heard nothing about him
@mobilope Last fall he was seen as a potential 1st rounder. The second half of the season he struggled hard. Happens sometimes.
