Bergen Record - Rangers place Marty Biron, Arron Asham on waivers
New York Post - With no Nash timetable, Rangers eye Miller
New York Post - Rangers place Biron, Asham on waivers
New York Times - Rangers Put Backup Goaltender on Waivers
A little unrelated, but not completely. There is an award given out in England/Europe called the James Dyson award to students with great invention ideas. The article and video are about a student who designed/invented a mouth guard that can be used to monitor and track force and movement applied to an athletes head and how it can relate to concussions. Pretty interesting concept. Maybe the Rangers should invest. They've got $35+ million promised to Rick Nash. Should make sure they keep his brain working and his body on the ice.
So if Biron and Asham were placed in waivers because of their performances, then why wasn't the whole NHL club put on waivers? While Biron has been struggling, barely playing doesn't help. He was supposedly a great team builder as well, something it seems we definitely need. I have a feeling this whole team is about to be shaken up. Oh and about Nash being a risk, I was 100% against that trade. It will come back to haunt us. Hope I get to eat crow for that one, but I don't think I will.
@johnnyb3910 I think there's more of a chance of seeing Miller on the 4th line b/c as you say Fast on the 4th makes zero sense.
@JustinRP37 I'll address this in a post at 9am.
@FREE MASHINTER @johnnyb3910 Agreed. While I'm trying to stay calm about this and not jump the gun as we're only 5 games in and the rest of our division suck too, I really hope there is a move in the works. This team, as is, espeically lacking Nash, is just unbearable to watch.
Thankfully they've only got 4 games in the next two weeks. Plenty of time to screw their heads on striaght and get out of this rut, and/or have management make some sort of move.
Also bodes well for Nash's recovery. He's bound to miss the next two games, atleast. Might as well just wait until the home opener.
