Five for Howling
Agree with the comment about using too much of pre-season to decide who will be sent down and who will be on the third and forth lines. Last night looked like a pre-season game but nobody told the Coyotes.
Also expect it to take some time to learn the system so I am confident we will see better. Especially when they get Cally and Hags back.
My biggest complaint right now is that I don't think we have the right guys on the ice. Would like to see more rookies being given a chance (perhaps so did AV and that is why he kept giving them opportunities in pre-season). Would be fun to watch and would be way better than what we are seeing out there last night. Watching Boyle and Pyatt out there together is just painful. What did Miller do wrong to deserve being put on that line? Hoping for some adjustments but I would not hold my breath other than Cally coming back (for Fast? please for Pyatt!).
If only AV would just let the blog coach for him...
I sort of watched. I had to lend an ear to a friend going through some pretty serious adversity right now. After the first period I was a better and better listener.
I think we all knew this was going to take some time to sort out. There was a lot evaluation and not much game plan over the course of the pre-season. I'm not worried yet, but some of these guys need to look like they want to win.
god i hope that another bright spot n this game is that pyatt is playing himself off of the team. but you know what they say, hope in one hand and shit in the other and see which one fills up first.
You know, there is one HUGE silver lining to this game. It was great to be throwing witty banter with all you fine people once again. Night all.
Every time they say Vrbrata, I keep getting flashbacks to Vorobiev. Remember him? Vladamir Vorobiev? Ok, how about Daniel Goneau?
Hopefully Thorton will call us "soft" after the game against the Sharks again.... thats the only thing I can think of right now.
You know, JD, when he was a color man, really gave some insight into the players and the league, even if he was annoying sometimes. Micheletti, gives nothing that we don't know already. It's like listening to Joe Morgan doing color for a baseball game. You know? "The reason why he's striking out so much, is cause he's just not making contact with the ball."
Good news-- we started the 2011 season off poorly, so...maybe we'll turn it around in the same way? Just the first game, boys and girls. LGR.
we waited all summer for this!? we read about this team and fawned over number changes and pad size changes for this!? freaking garbage showing!!!
At least they're not playing MTL at the Bell Centre next game, cause we all know how well that goes.
It will take our guys about 10 games I think to really get going. I just hope that they can catch up after that.
This game isn't so great, but guys...I love our Rangers anyways. Regardless of how this season goes, I'm just glad they're back.
All preseason and now the regular season... Really pissed at AV for not adjusting the PK.... It is fucking awful
@JMK8363 youre not drunk. but you should head that way after that game lol.
i didn't know they say that
@Free Lindberg Correlation but no causality.
@Hotfreak DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO
@Hotfreak that shirt is making me queezy.
@shoot_the_goalie night, man.
@IcyCup he should be pissed at himself... an utter embarrassment that was. The PK looks the same as it did on the 1st game of the preseason.... he hasn't made one adjustment.
@shoot_the_goalie spot on.
@shoot_the_goalie no we saved that for the last game of the season... that wont be a big game for us... no way.
@Free Lindberg Awful game for several players, MDZ, Nash (even though he has an assist), Stepan (has not looked good), BOYLE (probably the worst of the group from what I have seen, maybe not MDZ)
@tygalpin I love you ... man ... *braaack*
@shoot_the_goalie thats sarcasm btw
@Hotfreak no. nuh-uh. nope. nyet.
