Days of Y'Orr
I'm curious. If Torts thinks Hagelin stinks on the PP....does he think Richards and DZ are actually good?? He does realize the purpose of a PP is to score and not pass the puck back and forth, right?
Honestly, time for McD and G to be back on the same pairing, think G needs the help. DZ -3 today and still gets 23 minutes of ice time, no effort skating back for the last goal, terrible, meanwhile Moore's getting 10 minutes of ice time, just completely baffling, I wonder what Torts is thinking sometimes, painful to watch the Bruins skating rings round DZ so easily. Havent even started on Richard yet, Buyout!
This is for all u who want to buyout Richards....u have 2-yrs to buy him out. What's the point in buying him out now? U r reacting to a shortened season w-out a training camp. He is a good guy a leader who keeps the room calm. He won a Cup & was the MVP to boot. He is also a play making center & those guys usually r still good late into their 30's. We r a Cup contending team u don't give away vets who r proven winners until u have to ie, for cap space. He is having a bad year. U wait to see what happens next yr. or he may go somewhere else turn it around & everyone will be complaing we gave him away to early.
I missed most of this game....seems like a good thing. LOL. Hockey is the sport where the game changes between reg season and playoffs more than ANY other sport, which is why these lower seeds often do so well. Speed, toughness and heart wins. Sather.....GO GET MORE OF IT. Tort's.....LET IT PLAY!
Well I won't be able to watch Tuesday as my co-op is having their annual meeting. I am sure that there will be just as much yelling there as there will be at the Garden. Games 3 and 4 are huge now!
U can't take what Torts see publicly seriously he is just fuckin w-the media. Go google Feaster comments on Torts. U will see where he says most of what Torts says is calculated. Think about it...instead of everyone talking about how bad everyone else is.
@Chris24 he doesnt want to eat the bullet on Richards.... but i think its time to... The guy is a cancer to our team
@Dennosaw never should have changed
@ThrSage He won CUP 10 years ago with the clown behind the bench who also had Lecavilier, St. Martin and at the time a top 3 goalie in Khabulin ! So what has that have to do with now. It's a different NHL, you have to adapt the changes in the game. Whatever may have worked 10 years ago doesn't work now. Foe example, hmmmm let's see on yeah the shitty PP that Tortorella has been using forever. It doesn't work, Tortorella's strategy is crap the game has passed him by!
@ThrSage 1. good guy? means nothing. do you hirer a plumber because hes a good guy? do you vote for a president because he is a good guy?
2. how do we know that he keeps the room calm? we can say that his play has lead to loses. that doesnt keep the room calm. at all.
3. he did win a cup. he was mvp. those are past tense terms. things have changed since then for him.
4. he WAS a play making center. those guys are generally good until their late 30's. there are exceptions. richards could be one of those.
5. there is a window of this year and next year to win it all due to the incoming UFA and RFA deadline upcoming for all of the expiring contracts of good young players on our team.
he is a huge liability on the ice and is a shadow of his former self. it is apparent to all. it is the 800# gorilla in the room.
the question IS... why? and depending upon the answer to that question, can it be rectified?
@ThrSage one year, and because he is a legitimate cancer to this team. I actually feel this team plays worse because of him
@IcyCup good they should tell him game 3 is in Boston
We got to get bigger. Zuccs gotta come out...I'm not fan of Kreider..but 230lbs is 230lbs ya know what i mean?
Zuccs out..Kreider on 2nd line. Richie...time to ride the pine....Newbury in for you. Haley replaces Kredier's spot on the 4th.
Changes have to made...it was obvious after Game 1...but Torts is a stubborn man. hopefully, he makes the necessary changes
There ya go Josh.....I'm with ya. The Bruins won these 2-games & other then Rask they weren't very impressive
@Hotfreak because he's Brian Boyle. that's why.
@JustinRP37 that's a 24 million buy out just so you know. im not against it at all, but the guy that paid for all of it might seriously fucking balk at the idea. heads will have to roll as well if he is bought out. hopefully, the right ones.
@JustinRP37 he doesnt deserve a second chance
@JustinRP37 I don't care how he gets off the team. Injury, concussion, buyout, I don't care. as long as he's gone.
@JustinRP37 been saying it for 3 months now
@Josh6 @Chris24 Richards has to go no matter what, Hes not a cancer however people are relying on him to guide the ship and he just simply cant do it anymore. Therefor he has to go and if he stays he should start practicing, going to see a shrink and working out for next year as soon as this one ends because he sure didnt do this extended off season
How is he a cancer? He is a good guy who a lot of young players give credit too for keeping them calm. I know he has been awful this yr but he is a good guy I just don't understand the hate.
I agree he has been awful all I'm saying is u gain nothing by doing it now & maybe u gain something by waiting.
1-good guys mean a lot.
2-I have heard Stepan McDonough Cally & hags say it.
3-If u need his roster spot or ice time or cap space then I am all for buying him out. They way I understand Amnesty is u have 2-more yrs to use it.
4-young guys always need a yr or 2 to develop for example Stepan. BTW U have never seen Lindberg et al play & I can give 10 Ranger prospects who didn't pan out for everyone who did. This team w-one or 2 more pieces can win a cup. One of which is a play maker. If Richards who was good last yr finds his game he IS THAT piece. Maybe someone is dumb enuff to trade for him if he has 1/2 way decent yr next yr. no one thought Sather could get anything for Gomez & look how that turned out. BTW he is another guy everyone wanted cut.
5-yes he might b done but u lose nothing by waiting a year.
6- his play was not the reason we lost the last 2-games. I watched both games & he would be way down on the list.
@ThrSage their dmen have impressed me, we never should have switched Mac and Girardi
@ThrSage If you can tell me why he is worth the money still remaining on his contract by all means tell me. We need the cap space to start resigning players after next season. We will have Nash's full cap hit, Hank's hopefully future cap hit, Cally's cap hit, can we afford to have Richards after a year like this?
@ThrSage too bad no one agrees with you.
Josh that's ridiculous he may be bad but he plays hard. Did u ever play a sport at a high level? Ever know anyone who did? Well I did & do. He lost his confidence & when that happens u try to hard & then u look lost. The guy is lost right now but not a cancer. That's not fair. Might I remind you...u wanted to bench Nash. How did that work out?
@ThrSage good guy? I want someone that plays hard every night, and there are so many nights where Richards doesnt even skate or play defense. That is why he is a cancer, he has a letter on his chest and shouldnt because he is not a leader
I don't see them playing boring defensive hope we get a goal hockey, they have many more offensive weapons than the Rangers so I don't agree with your assessment of the Kings.
@Josh6 me too but doenst he have lingering wrist issues?
@ThrSage That actually makes a lot of sense after a horrible loss. We should give him one year to shape up. If he does not improve then it is time to buyout so that we can be sure we hang onto guys we really need to remain competitive. The lower cap will really start to hurt.
Here is why u have 2-yrs to buy him out. What's the point in buying him out now? U r reacting to a shortened season w-out a training camp. He is a good guy a leader who keeps the room calm. He won a Cup & was the MVP to boot. He is also a play making center & those guys usually r still good late into their 30's.
