According to NHL.com, Washington's Martin Era will miss Game 5 with an wrist injury he suffered when Alex Ovechkin launched himself at Derek Stepan and caught his teammate with the penalized charge.
While head coach Adam Oates has not announced who will replace Erat, the Capitals have called up forwards Joey Crabb and Tom Wilson from the American Hockey League for tomorrow's game.
Also of note, former Ranger Wojtek Wolski, who has been a healthy scratch for the Capitals since April 11th, is also an option.
John Tortorella infamously announced that the Rangers couldn't get the injury prone Wolski "out of the tub" and back in the line-up back in 2011.
Wolski had 4g, 5a in 37 games this season.
...easily one of my favorite jokes in the history of the blog were the Wolski tub cracks. So classic. Got to hope if he does play there's no revenge factor for the Rangers trading him away.
...Erat was a nice pickup for the Caps at the deadline and it'll be a big blow if they lose him for any significant amount of time.

Came to a realization tonight.. I have said since the Rangers went down 2-0 they were the better team and would come back. However, the Rangers do not win this series, or tonight (on the road), if Rick Nash doesn't produce. And I don't mean assists... he needs to hit the back of the net and soon!! LGR!!
This is the kind of trash talking I could do without, because this is precisely the kind of guy that will bite the team in the ass. LOL.
I think the Capitals second line has been the best line in this series with Erat, Ribeiro, and Brouwer so although you hate to see injuries this helps out the Rangers a lot.
