Zuccarello in Daily Contact With Rangers
Written by Kevin DeLury on .
According to Norwegian media outlet NRK, Matts Zuccarello's agent Erik Ryman is in daily contact with the Rangers about a comeback.
Zuccarello's agent reiterated his client's desire for a two year, one way contract.
This morning, Larry Brooks at the New York Post reported that the Rangers haven't decided if they will offer a contract to Zuccarello.
...power play has been improved and the team has been playing great, so not really sure where Zuccarello would fit in right now. I guess Boyle is still vulnerable, but he has some attributes that Zuccarello just can't offer on face-offs and the penalty kill.

So it's safe to say that they're talking more often than the NHL and NHLPA during a lockout.Too soon?
No thanks. Keep that roster spot open and see what's shakin at the deadline.
Gotta figure Kreider gets another crack closer to playoffs.
Zucc is not better than any one of our top 6 and he doesn't bring the grit / energy factor that our lower lines have.
Would rather look for a good combo of secondary scoring and "jam" to bolster the bottom of our lineup than have to choose one and sacrifice the other.
NYR needs to bring in a player who can deal with Lucic, Matt Cooke and Chris Neil's of the NHL. I don't care if it is a defenseman or a forward
@jslnyr1102 Mcilrath next year is the answer to that... no need to trade away someone or waste a roster spot on that for a month and a half
Do not want. To Torts, he is what Randy Moss was to Chilly, a Programatic Non-Fit.
Nope, I do not want to give him a two year one way contract... it gives us no option to do anything if he is a bust. Unless he is making less then a million each year, I do not want this deal done unless it is a twp-way deal
I think the Hamrlik signing prevents this from happening anyway, but aside from the lack of a pure enforcer in the lineup, I don't see how he wouldn't fit...
Hagelin-Richards-Nash
Gaborik-Stepan-Cally
Pyatt-Miller-Zuccarello
Boyle-Halpern-Powe
Gives us a 3rd line that can actually put the puck in the net, and you can still go with Asham or Haley in games where you think an enforcer will be needed.
@dmc1188 boyle probably wont stay on the 4th line, and I would rather have Kreider in Zucc's spot anyway
@TheNYRBlog Talks with Zuccarello may hint at other plans the team has in the pipeline. Or not.
“@TheNYRBlog: he foes bring deep playoff experience. With NYR power play improving & team playing gr
