Assuming that the Rangers are going to give Mats Zuccarello and Jesper Fast an opportunity to spark the Rangers offense before they look for help in Connecticut, but maybe they shouldn't wait, as Christian Thomas now has three goals on nine shots the last two games.
Here's video of last night's goal (00:16 mark)...
...why not recall him? I dare someone to tell me he'd be any worse than Boyle, Pyatt, Newbury or Asham. Hell he'd probably bring more offense to the table than Richards and Gaborik also.
If torts would stick with a set line for more than one shift, we might possibly get some chemistry out of them. Richards and Gaborik worked well last year. Stick with them for more than a shift. But knowing torts, he'd rather try hank at right wing before having a consistent line for a game.
Do you want the rangers of the 80's again The smurfs Rangers get pushed around now too much We have no tuffness as it is That would be fine if we had a guy like lucic playing for us But instead we have Boyle and pyatt
Gaborik playing on the 4th line.maybe CT could take a top six spot if called up.Torts is trying everything.Gabby probably wondering if he is going to be playing goalie next.Certainly confusing.
CT has a top NHL shot and can be weaned into the big team.If Rangers can set up his shot then his addition would be helpful for some goals. Whether he can take it past that is up to him.
@TheNYRBlog two games I was at last week. Boyle was at least physical. But when Richards and gabs don't score then Boyle seems useless
I know Boyle isn't doing anything goal-wise, but he is the team's best FO guy and leads the team in hits. For the money he is paid, he's doing a Hell of a lot more than Gaborik or Richards right now.
Next year this team will be and look much different with the kids up and I cant wait. This team has major issues with overpaid players.
Seriously, its come to the point where Boyle and Pyatt have no business being in the lineup. They are contributing nothing offensively and are not using their size and strength to create havoc for the opposition on the forecheck. Zucc needs to be in the lineup in Montreal, no excuse.
He never should have went down in the first place and the Rangers played better without Boyle in the line up. I hope he's packaged in a deal at the dead line.
I would love to see mcllrath come up to give us some toughness on d straalmans game is going backwards
@TheNYRBlog pyatt 100% unfortunately Boyle is being kept on this team bc everyone else is worse at FOs ...
@TheNYRBlog Boyle is one of the few guys that had a strong game yesterday, broke up many plays in the D zone. Where's the goals from gabby
@TheNYRBlog R that Gilroy/Bickel worse than Harm, Powe/Hailey worse than pyatt
@TheNYRBlog You can't make a case for Pyatt. But Boyle on faceoffs and PK is the ONLY way he helps more than Thomas.
I hate when people discredit Boyle because hes not putting up numbers. Look at his hits. When was the last time someone was beating Callahan in the hit department.
It's so hard to get these kids in the lineup and get them meaningful minutes when you have Richards and gaborik taking up spots. I get that Boyle and Pratt aren't doing much but what are you going to do bring him up to play on the fourth line? The bottom line is if gaborik and Richards aren't playing well this team will not win.
@TheNYRBlog Boyle is so bad
@TheNYRBlog I honestly wish they could trade Richards. I'd trade him straight up for Brassard from the blue jackets
@TheNYRBlog I think its time is sit boyle and pyatt bring up thomas play zuc or fasth (fast whatever his name is now)
@TheNYRBlog if anything replace Pyatt. At least Boyle has been decent on the faceoff.
@Beckfan5 What i want to say is that Boyle needs to stop keeping his game to just the boards and get to the front of the net and cause problems there. Just have him watch Chris Neil like Kevin said last night. He has that ability, so use it.
Was there last night and quite a few games this year. Has been a great season to watch the Whale. Haley, Newbury, Mashinter, Mcilrath, Segal etc... are all really good AHL players. It makes for great hockey...
@Rex_Havok You know what, I didn't even watch the whole video. That Mashinter fight was awesome!
@BlueshirtMac19 Why not?
@Schmiidtyy Boyle has been good on faceoffs, but this team needs goals and they need them now.
@TheNYRBlog they need to do something their offense was terrible last night besides 3 chances
