...unreal news if this report is true. Assuming most Rangers fans, including myself, expected a lot longer after watching Staal rolling around in agony.
...how is a Bruins beat guy reporting this and the Rangers guys aren't?

I guess I'm an exception because when he went down I did not think it would be a long injury, in fact I was thinking 2 or 3 weeks so I'm looking to see him back in about 10 days myself. The thing that could blow this prediction apart is if he comes down with post concussion symptoms being as he had a bad concussion already. Keeping my fingers crossed, i think most would agree that he was playing his best hockey before he went down.
Really great news. When I heard one of the attending physicians was a surgeon, I though broken orbital or cheekbone. Hopefully that's not the case and he won't need a cage.
because maybe its not true. did anyone think maybe the guy is just reporting it to make headlines?
@BobGroder Andrew Gross says Rangers wouldn't confirm or deny the report: http://blogs.northjersey.com/blogs/rangerrants/a_staal_timetable/
@KevinDeLury @BobGroder this is the dumbest thing I have ever heard, why can't they give out timetables now? I guess that helps the other teams figure out what their injuries are.... this is ridiculous
@TheNYRBlog I was wondering if any news on Staal would be available. Hope its true. we'll all be happy to have him back and injury free!
If this is true it is great news, there was potential for him to be out the entire season with what happened to him... I really hope he is able to skate though during those 2 weeks so he can stay conditioned, I don't see why not if it is an eye injury, but you never know
That last question is why I refuse to get my hopes up. I mean I really, really hope it's true simply for Marc but the fact that no one but a Bruins beat writer is saying it... I need to hear from someone else before I believe it.
@KevinDeLury Agree. Wish he would've said anything other than that random tweet. Nothing before, nothing after. I was hoping TSN guys would pick up on it today but so far they haven't. That said, at least it isn't coming from Garroich lol.
I'm very hopeful, yet skeptical. If he comes back that quickly, I'll be convinced Staal has Wolverine-like healing powers.
