Rick Nash was having another Rick Nash type game as he electrified the MSG crowd everytime he had the puck on his stick. And for the second game since returning from injury he scored a goal. His first power play goal as a Rangers to give them a 2-1 lead...
Then in overtime it was almost all for not as Nash almost handed the Sabres the victory by doing this...
But all was forgotten during the shootout when Nash gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead with this dazzling move...
...talk about a roller coaster of emotions for Nash. Torts was laughing afterward, but I'm not so sure he would have found it amusing if Lundqvist hadn't been so alert.
...btw, how sick is Nash in the shootout. His reach gives him the advantage over every goaltender in the NHL.
@TheNYRBlog Had that gone in, that'd rival the Sanchez butt-fumble for All-time Most Ridiculous Play in NY sports history.
All those highs and lows, and that doesn't even include the feed for the first PP goal or the terrible Delay of Game penalty with 30 seconds left in the 3rd...
I didn't see 61 in any of the team photos @ casino night, was he there? He played possessed last night.
@TheNYRBlog Still the most skilled NYR out there night after night. Nash and Cally are their MVPs right now. Does Gaborik still play?
This is so much better than dealing with Erik Christensen being on the team just in case, god forbid, there was a shootout. Though he did have an excellent wrister, even if it was all he had.
@vatsupper8 Nash was not at Casino night. Home resting.
@CareyBrandsdorfer Wow I had totally forgotten about him... What does he do nowadays?
@KevinDeLury Interesting. He wasnt at the season ticket event, & Casino night. Is he antisocial?
@ForEachNYR Accounting probably
@vatsupper8 @KevinDeLury I am still concerned that he's nursing an injury (concision)... Hopefully I am just paranoid. As for social he looks like he'd fit in well.
