Hamrlik In; Gilroy, Bickel Out

Torts says he's not sure of lineup changes, but looks like Hamrlik is playing, Gilroy and Bickel are scratched. Lundqvist in goal, as I said

John Tortorella said that Steve Eminger has taken hold of the fifth defensive spot.
...if Hamrlik has gotten himself in shape, I think this is the line-up Torts would like to go with until Staal returns from injury. Then it'll come down to who's playing better between Eminger and Hamrlik.
...man, it'd be nice to get a goal from Gaborik tonight. Hopefully Torts doesn't start him on the fourth line.

Glad Emmy has grabbed a spot a little bit. Seems like Torts has been slow to trust him, but I'd take him over Bickel and Gilroy an day of the week. The only need for Bickel is the occasional gloves-dropping, which he's not the greatest at either.
Its not ideal given his "conditioning problems" but I do think he is a calming presence back there. Gilroy has really been struggling lately, this move makes sense.
I like Eminger for what he brings, but he was brutal the other night. I think the Rangers really need to get Gaborik going and, if he can't time to work out a trade if he will go along with it.
@TheNYRBlog has there been any sort of update on Staal. Haven't seen anything (sans one wild rumor) but maybe i missed it?
@ShapiroNYR A couple of days ago a Bruins beat writer said he'd be out 2-3 more weeks, but not sure how legit that report is.
I thought Bickel had been playing better lately, unfortunately for him Hamrlik's skill set far outweighs his own, even out of shape. Though at this point I would give anything to have Sauer back. Not even gonna talk about Gilroy's atrocious play lately.
Gilroy was brutal the other night. I say no way he gets back in for the rest of the year
No way hamrlik got in shape over 3 days while traveling, that is asking way to much... To get in shape and conditioned would take at least a week or a week and a half, and even still that wouldn't be enough. This is a move torts is forced into because of how poor gilroy played in buffalo, and the ineptitude of Stu Bickel
