Arnott Failed Physical More Than Injury Related

Written by Kevin DeLury on .

Andy Strickland of 590 The Fan in St. Louis reports that Jason Arnott failing his physical with the Rangers may not have been fully injury related as the coaches/players and GM were not on the same page.

Strickland adds that the Blues plan on letting Arnott practice with the team before deciding on giving him a contract or not.

On January 26th, the Rangers and Arnott agreed on a one-year deal worth $1.6 - $1.7 million.

...no idea what this means. If Strickland is going to throw a bomb like this out there, he should at least elaborate on it a little bit. Irresponsible journalism if you ask me.

...the disagreement could have been regarding Arnott's role with the team. Rangers were likely looking for him to be the 3rd line center and maybe he was anticipating getting to play with Nash or Gaborik.

Who cares, no need to worry about him since he is not on our team. Whatever the reason, I'm sure it was a good one.
