...i'd be shocked if this isn't done before the ink is dry on the new CBA which should be in a couple of days.
...as far as the terms go, I'd love to see three years at $2 million per. Got to wonder if Del Zotto is more willing to take less than $3 million per he was looking for because he just wants to play again. One-year deal might not be out of the question.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm really not married to the idea of a long term contract for Del Zotto. I think there's better value to be had out there. Just one man's opinion, but I'm still of the mind that he is a below average starting NHL defenseman.
