No Official Word on Gaborik's Status But Is Healthy

Written by Kevin DeLury on .

Jim Cerny at nyrangers.com reports that there is no official word on Marian Gaborik's status to start the season after shoulder surgery this past summer.

Back in December, Pat Leonard of the Daily News reported if training camp would convene in the beginning of January, Gaborik would be ready to go. Gaborik did some rehab work in Slovakia but has spent a significant amount of time in New York this fall.

Larry Brooks at the New York Post also says Gaborik is healthy.

Leonard also reported that Rick Nash (groin) is also healthy.

...until Gaborik is officially cleared I'm not going to get too excited, but you've got to assumer he'll be ready when camp opens later this week.

...wait? Did I just say "when camp opens later this week"? AWESOME!!!!!!

You gotta think he's good to go. I'm sure we'll here within the day. I heard Torts already has Rupp in a head lock for having a half percent too much body fat.
