J.T. Miller has been living a charmed life this season. First, because of the lockout he was able to start the year with the Whale gaining a ton of pro experience. Next, he wins the gold medal at the World Junior Championship as a member of Team USA and last week he was named to the AHL All-Star game. So he must be feeling pretty confident about his game, right? Or not (via Blueshirts United)...
"I'm not too worried about these other things, like the All Star Game. I just want to stick to my game and keep learning. It's really great, but I have plenty of work to do."
...kid has all the reason in the world to be walking around like his $hit don't stink, but similar to Kreider's approach, he remains grounded with his eye on becoming the best pro player he can be. I keep hoping that Miller will get a call-up this year, but, at age 19, he's likely not ready for the jump to the NHL just yet. But with that mindset, he'll be wearing a Blueshirt before we know it.
Miller was held scoreless and was a -1 with one shot on goal in last night's AHL All Star Game.
