When we finally get to see Henrik Lundqvist lead the Rangers onto the ice in Boston, he'll be wearing a brand new mask, which he describes in this video (H/T to reader Steve)...
Here's pics of the mask...
...i love Lundqvist, but sort of a strange concept to celebrate legends of the Silver Screen. Even if they are from Sweden.
...having said that, as long as it's still bedazzled I'm excited to see it.
Being from another country, I can appreciate him doing this. Showing some respect to his home. He has done more than enough for us here in NY and we appreciate him for it, we call him the king for a reason. I think he has earned the right to show some love to Sweden. He has shown nothing but love for since he got here.
Not sure I'm on board with Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman, and Ingmar Bergman on a hockey mask...I'll trust Hank on this one, but I hope this does not signal him "going Hollywood" - save the acting for after hockey.
Aslong as this is being thrown high above the ice in a celebration at the end of the year, I don't care what he wears. He could have a bucket on his head for all I care.
