Since we don't get to see them too often, I figured I'd post last night's power play goal scored by Ryan Callahan...
The Rangers are now 3-for-24 on the power play this season.
...oh my God a power play goal, quick someone get Mike Sullivan a contract extension.
...actually, to be fair, the power play has looked much more effective the last two games. More movement, traffic in front and even some shots! shots! shots! shots! shots!.
And if that power play goal doesn't convince you that pigs fly, I'm sure the fact that the Rangers won 66% of their faceoffs last night will.
I'm not going to consider that an improvement. The fact that guys weren't standing still was better, but that initial "shot" by Nash looked like he was trying to pass to Girardi. It the same strategy thats failed them 21 times.
Sorry Nash, but next time you're between the dots, on the PP, with the goalie screened, YOU SHOOT! Pretend you're back in Columbus and you're out there with a bunch of AHLers. Stop trying to go back door to Dan Girardi...
@johnnyb3910 I also didn't like him passing up golden opportunity on the door step to McDonagh. We brought him in to score not be a distributor.
@KevinDeLury Not to be panic-y, but I hope he's not doubting himself now that he's like 1-for-30 and falling on glorious scoring opportunities. I love that he's humble and is more conerned with wins that stats, but Nash isn't here to fit in, he's here to stand out.
And it was back door to DZ, not Girardi...
@johnnyb3910 I have a post on this coming in about 10 minutes. Here's a preview, he'll be fine.
