Attack Victim Rangers Fan Files Law Suit

Written by Kevin DeLury on .

NJ.com reports that Neal Auricchio Jr., the Rangers fan attacked by Flyers fans after the Winter Classic last year outside Geno's Steaks in Philadelphia, has filed a civil suit agaist one of his attackers, Dennis Veteri, who was sentenced to house arrest and probation for the beating.

Auricchio, a New Jersey police officer and decorated Marine who was shot in Iraq, is seeking damages of more than $50,000 from Veteri and the bar, which he says was negligent and violated Pennsylvania’s liquor laws by serving him drinks after he was visibly intoxicated.

Auricchio suffered head and facial injuries in the attack and needed a titanium plate implanted in his face. He still has problems with his vision,

...only $50,000?! I'd be suing for millions. This guy is permenantly disabled. I'd try to bankrupt Veteri and his entire family. Loser.

What can he do, gain possession of the guy's trailer and cheesesteak stained wife-beater shirt?  He should definitely have gone after the bar a bit more, and even Genos fopr not having some type of security!
