Prust May Miss Tonight's Game

Written by Kevin DeLury on .

...geez, now an ex-Ranger might not play in this game? What the hell's going on around here?

...although, Prust is a gamer and I seriously doubt he's going to miss an Original Six match-up against his former team.

Prust has been on a roll lately with two points (1g, 1a) along with eight hits in his last three games.

Rick Nash (undisclosed), Darroll Powe (concussion) and Arron Asham (back spasms) are out for the Rangers tonight, while Marc Staal (flu) and Michael Del Zotto (lower body) are game time decisions.

@TheNYRBlog I know Prust's an old buddy, and it was obvious no one wanted to check him last game, but it was way too easy for him, blast him

Almost 35 years ago to the day, the NYR Fan Club (I was among them) ventured into the Montreal Forum to see what was expected to be a beat-down by the dynastic Habs - Montreal was in the midst of an NHL record 28 game unbeaten streak...however, the pajama-clad Rangers, led by call-up goaltender Hardy Astrom, shocked Les Habitants and won the game 6-3, dropping Montreal to 42-8-9 on the season...maybe the NYR should break out those "vintage"  uniforms tonight. Link below to some highlights with Jim Gordon and The Big Whistle.
