No Discipline for Pacioretty Hit From Behind on McDonagh
Written by Kevin DeLury on .
As others have reported, NHL decides no supplementary discipline for MTL's Max Pacioretty.

...whatever, suspension wouldn't make McD less injured or change the fact that his teammates didn't stand up for him. Should have taken care of business on the ice.

It's Tort's fault, the next shift Bickel and Mashinter should have been out there to fight someone.Torts is a pussy

.@TheNYRBlog Still. Either a rule’s a rule, or it isn’t. Either they’re worried about concussions, or they’re not. They shame us every time.
@agenao I hear you, but I've stopped counting on the NHL to do the right things. Players have to police themselves.

Kind of wish Lundqvist was playing last night than at least someone would have fought back...
Stop calling for Avery, he's finished in hockey. Besides, he'd rather strike a pose now.
Gabby, Richards & Pyatt were the line that was on the ice. Richards is the alternate captain and was his responsibility to do something about it.
C'mon people we all knew there would be nothing done........on a side note congrats to bobby sanguinetti tonight on his first goal of the year, playing almost 22 minutes and getting the #1 star!!! Not bad for another tortorella reject!
The hit wasn't *that* bad. Kevin is spot on, this should have been taken care of on the spot last night.
I was watching San Jose vs. Chicago the other night. Clowe left the bench for San Jose to get after a Chicago guy that hit one of his teammates from behind. He got suspended yes, but at least he went out to protect his teammate. Havent seen that at all this year.
Did anyone here actually believe shanny would stand up and do the right thing?!? Seriously?!?
Discipline should have been dealt with on the ice immediately after the hit. Period.
gut·less [guht-lis] adjective. lacking courage, fortitude, or determination.
@Iron Mike I am sure after that, someone informed the team of what is expected of them, and they will show it soon... I HOPE
@Iron Mike IF NOT = Torts being a terrible coach, no other way around it. Coach has to let his players fight for their teammates.
@TheNYRBlog Kevin then the nhl says they are protecting players from head shots really fuck you bettman and shanny your a Fucking disgrace
@TheNYRBlog Great point. Part of the current problem is the team inaction to on ice issues like this.
Did not know where to post, but it went unnoticed that Nash did not come off the IR today, so I think he may be out for awhile. The Rangers are going to have to find something within themselves if they are going to win without him...
@slapshot13j I wouldn't look too much into that. No practice or game today. If he's not off tomorrow then yes it might be time to worry.
@KevinDeLury my friend told me that some guy on the radio said he was still seeing double, I REALLY hope that is not the case. Also, if he doesnt practice tomorrow I think that rules him out for the game on Tuesday. He has been out for a week he is not just going to jump back into it anymore.
Shanny still bitter about NYR not picking up the last year of his contract. He wanted to play and Sather said "pass" - since then no supplemental discipline calls have gone our way
NHL Safety Committee doing its best today to keep all players safe for the future...Thanks!!
This isn't the first time that players on the Rangers have not stuck up for one another, and it certainly will not be the last. They have quite a few issues to sort out, and not a lot of time. My feeling is that they will miss the playoffs by 4-6 pts..
@TheNYRBlog to be honest....the Rangers lost their toughness. I bet you the McD hit on pach earlier weighed in on the no suspension. #dirty
@TheNYRBlog hmmm. I really thinks its time that Sather has to go. Need some fresh blood in there. Is the coach safe you think?
@nickcott No idea. Rangers holding back information. We don't even know what the injury is.
@nickcott Tell me about it. Rangers Nation in full panic mode today because their lack of balls were exposed last night.
@TheNYRBlog have any of our beat writers asked torts abt the lack of toughness? This just cant go on
@TheNYRBlog @thenyrblog @TheBroadwayHat who's going to step up for him ? Prust? Rupp? They r gone now.
@rmoe125 @TheBroadwayHat Whoever was on the ice. Doesn't always have to be a tough guy. Dubi did it all the time last year.
@TheNYRBlog asham hurt, Powe hurt, Rupp gone, Prust gone, Torts has Bickels balls, and Boyle is a 250 pound pussy. McIlrath???
