One of the few bright spots last night was Chris Kreider's absolute snipe in the third period...
...i guess the ankle is ok. You can see him entering the zone with a head of steam and Richards lead him perfectly down the wing. And then obviously he unleashes just a nasty shot. After seeing a play like that it seems unfathomable that he only had five goals in 33 games with the Whale.
...btw, does Chico call him "Krauter" in the video? Numbnutz.
Funny how we were told that Shony didn't want him going up until he could prove himself in the AHL. That sure died quick.
did you see him play in hartford??if you did you would know why cause he went to hartford thinking his the man and wasnt putting in the work or even skating thats why
I think he was playing hurt all this time and was worried about making the team....now that he took some time off to heal we should see a better Kreider....IMO....Hope that was the case cause he sure looked allot faster last night
Richards set that play up perfectly...entering the zone, holding, delaying and a then a perfectly timed dish to Kreider. He knew where Kreider was the whole time, amazing awareness. Keep these two together!!
Kreider looked great last night and looked to have some chemistry with Richards...
Just a thought about what the possible lines should be with this team (with cally out)
Nash Richards Kreider
Hagelin Stepan Gaborik (had some chemistry last year)
Miller Halpern Pyatt
Asham Boyle Powe
then if miller can play some center and stepan struggles rotate them
@kicker75 joe thornton has chemistry with whoever he is on the ice with. one of the best centers in the game. Having said that the rangers are not going to trade away a two time 40 goal scorer
@slapshot13j I liked RIchards with Kreider and Miller. Hoping Torts goes with that combination tomorrow night.
@KevinDeLury thought about that cause I definitely thought it had some spark, but then what do you do with gaborik and nash? have stepan center them? split them up? I just think Richards and Nash should be together thats what he brought him in here for, and eventually they can find some chemistry. Also, dont think stepan is up to the task of playing with gabby and nash, maybe halpern gaborik nash. Halpern has shown me something that stepan hasn't, some grit and toughness.
@KevinDeLury boyle has been non-existent
@slapshot13j How about Boyle centers them? lol
