Sauer Will Continue to Be Sidelined If There's a Season
Written by Kevin DeLury on .
Larry Brooks at the New York Post reports that if there's a NHL season Michael Sauer will continue to be sidelined the entire year with post concussion syndrome.
Brooks adds that Sauer’s $1.25 million will included on the Rangers cap charge, unless they reach the $70.2 million ceiling and then they'll be able to replace it.
...awful news on Sauer to end the year. Might be safe to say his career is over.

Brooks is forgetting that the NYR can place Sauer on the LTIR where his salary won't count towards the salary cap.
@TheNYRBlog still say it was a cheap shot, borderline legal, but I still think it was unnecessary.
@TheNYRBlog for his own well being this should probably be the end for him. Very sad, the guy worked his butt off to be a very good player
Not going to lie...this really isn't news. I would've been shocked to see him on the ice this year. I've heard he's doing better but family won't let him take a chance by playing. Hoping that's the case as it means he can live a normal day-to-day life.
Too bad, imagine our d with him and staal back too. His brother Kurt had the same problem did he not?
That sucks, he was one of my favorites. For him to be out this long, my guess his career is over.
@TheNYRBlog how in the world can football players come back in a week after being concussed, yet hockey players lose careers? I don't get it
This is kinda what I always thought would be the result, but its still so sad to hear. Can we call up our worst prospect who will never make the NHL to take a two handed baseball swing with his stick to Dion's head and ruin his career?
I hope he'll recover at some point and play hockey again.. This is so sad..
@TheNYRBlog that sucks, he is one of the nicest players and way too young for his career to be over
