In his first game back with the Hartford Wolfpack, JT Miller had a goal an assist as well as a shootout goal, but it wasn't enough as the Rangers AHL affiliate lost to the Adirondack Phantoms 3-2 in a shootout.
Marek Hrivik had the other Wolfpack goal.
Miller now has six AHL goals this season.
Here's video of Miller's night...
...yep, let's keep the status quo by keeping guys like Pyatt and Pouliot on the roster while suppressing a young talent like Miller.
...i get that Miller hasn't exactly impressed at the NHL level this season, but I've seen more potential in the handful of games he's participated in than from 3/4s of the Rangers roster combined.
...one game here, another there with the Rangers really doesn't allow a young player to get settled in, not to mention he's trying to learn his second NHL system in two years. Might take him a little while to figure it out.
...btw, sweet pass from Kristo to Miller on the goal. In the few games they've played together there's been a ton of chemistry. Maybe bringing them both up to play on a line together wouldn't be the worst idea.
Because people refuse to believe that our organization is going in the opposite direction that we fans want it to. Simple as that.
So you think they would just drop Pyatt and Poopalot just like that? Send them down to Hartford and bring up those 2 young studs? I would do it but no way in hell does it happen. Primarily, AV has a butt crush on Pyatt so we can forget that. Secondly and obviously he doesn't like Miller or at least he thinks he is a way too much of a defensive liability but JT is WAY better than the two P's offensively.
I think all the Rangers and playing like shit and I think all this trade talk and shit, is just a bit premature. A lot of people want to blow up the team and I get it but they'll bounce back... I hope, if not, FIRE THE FUCK EVERYONE! Boom.
@TheNYRBlog how are they not an upgrade over Pyatt and Pouliot?
@TheNYRBlog B/c they're weak defensively. And Pouliot and Pyatt are studs in the d-zone.
@TheNYRBlog Because our 3rd and 4th lines already display such dynamic chemistry...
@TheNYRBlog it's been that way for years. Sather would rather overspend on 4th liners who take up spots.
@TheNYRBlog Pretty good thinking. Can't be worse than the redundancy they have now. Need to mold some young guys for the new system.
@TheNYRBlog are you/have you done a blog or review of McIlraths first game?
@TheNYRBlog because that'd make sense?
@adrec88 My bad.
@NewYorkPuck a young sather would play the kids...
@msena88 I gave my thoughts on it in a post on Staal yesterday.
@TheNYRBlog alright I'll check it out, thanks for all your work as always it's great stuff
