Last night, JT Miller and Danny Kristo eached scored, but it wasn't enough as the Hartford Wolfpack lost to the Albany Devils 5-2.
Miller now has 2g, 1a and eight shots on goal in his two games since being re-assigned to Hartford.
Meanwhile, Kristo's goal gave him a three game point streak (1g, 2a).
Here's video highlights...
...i completely get that in a perfect world the Rangers should leave these two down in the AHL to hone their craft. But this isn't a vacuum, it's hockey and the Blueshirts can't score. If this homestand continues to spiral out of control, unless Sather makes a trade, I don't see how the organization can deny Miller and Kristo the opportunity to jump start this team.
...and how about that Miller goal? Uses his strength to drive past a defender before making a sweet move to bang it home. Not sure I've seen a Rangers player make that kind of physical play on offense all season. But hey, at least they still have Pyatt and Poopsalot on the roster.
It's ok guys. AV wants to play tough like det. So far I hate him. I for one def underestimated torts, his style for the players we had worked. It sucks he started losing the players, if it wasn't for that they would of gave him another year. AV is forgetting det has 5x the skill we have and they been playing with that core for years. We should be copying Boston's model not det.
I realize that this comment is unrelated to the article but the
Canucks are now 20-10-5 after beating Boston 6-2 last night. So much for getting rid of Torts.
AHL success does not translate into automatic NHL success. EVERY NHL roster would be chock full of goal scorers if that were the case. We need to relax when these guys have a little success in Connecticut. Too much wishful thinking here sometimes.... Also - E Kane? Really? Trading a bunch of players and/or prospects for a guy who performs erratically and who eats up way too much cap space is NOT gonna help this team. There is NO quick fix for this team. Sather built a mediocre roster that gets paid top dollar. The boys should perform a little better for AV but only time and patience can help now. Or if the Dolans and Sather flew over the Bermuda triangle.....
On a happier note my little daughters both wanted to hang the Rangers ornament on the tree this morning. I almost cried. (but in a good way - not like the way I cry while watching Ranger games...)
@TheNYRBlog i compare them to the "medium guy" in NES ice hockey from the 80s! They arent fast, or physical just blah players!
@TheNYRBlog it's not the players.. Miller and kristo can play and help. They just aren't put in situations to succeed much like kreider
@TheNYRBlog JT however should 100 percent be up n playing instead of poopsalot n pyatt, those 2 guys bring nothing at all. Cont.
@TheNYRBlog one of those early dev goals shows why Kristo needs yr on farm turnover at blue line no backcheck loses guy his guy scores
@TheNYRBlog I hate the management of this organization more and more each day
@TheNYRBlog Poosalot is by far the best nickname for that waste of a roster spot I've ever heard
@TheNYRBlog Poopsalot! Hahahaha! Classic bro!
Let's screw with the long-term development of two of our top prospects in a desperate attempt to end a December slump! Drunk Kevin takes the GM keys once again.
Kristo could be a valuable piece in a move for Kane. Still think a package of Girardi, Hagelin, Kristo and maybe a second gets it done.
@RobertChiarello Let's just say you'll have a better place to put this comment in about a half hour...
@Herman_NYRBlogI don't think it screws with their development at all. Better than living with what the Rangers have.
