As reported yesterday, Henrik Lundqvist signed a 7 year, $59.5 million dollar contract extension. Here is the year to year salary structure.

Henrik Lundqvist will earn $11M, incl an $8M signing bonus, in Year 1 of his extension with NYR. He will receive $5.5M in final year (7th).

Couple other FAQ's that were asked to me yesterday:
Let's say the Salary Cap goes up to $90 Million by 2020-2021, which is Lundqvist's final season of this contract. An $8.5 Million cap hit would be the equivalent of what a $6.07 Million cap hit looks like this year. I don't think it's unreasonable to think that Lundqvist will still be pretty close to that kind of value even in his late 30s.
@Herman_NYRBlog Yeah, but he'll likely be playing for the Wolfpack at that point, while Talbot will be winning his second Vezina Trophy.
