Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record reports that Stralman had his left wrist wrapped after practice, but x-rays were negative. Stalman said the injury occurred when he was hit on the wrist with the follow through of an Alex Ovechkin shot in the first period Friday night.
He hopes to return on Tuesday in Florida.
...i always get a little more excited about a game when a prospect makes his NHL debut. Looking forward to see what Allen has.
...obviously the Stalman injury is not all that serious if he plans to return on Tuesday. Guess it's ok to trade Del Zotto to Ottawa now.
Marc Staal (concussion) and Ryan Callahan (knee) also skated with the team. Callahan was wearing a non-contact jersey.
...now it's really ok to trade Del Zotto. And maybe Girardi also. lol
...if I know Callahan, expect him back before Jan. 7th.
Mats Zuccarello and Derek Stepan were back on the ice after missing yesterday's practice with the flu.
...hope the Rangers medical staff passed around Airborne to the team yesterday.
With Staal and Stralsy coming back, I know we'll see Allen be a scratch, question is who is the second scratch? Do we keep Falk and his solid play in the line up or do we suffer through Del Zotto and hope he can turn his stock around? Although what if Allen has a fantastic first game in the NHL? Tonight's game will be interesting. I have a lot of thoughts running through my head right now but they're all what if's so I'm gonna shut up now.
Wouldn't it be great if we were actually in contention (to even make the playoffs) and could parlay Del Zotto for Cammalari at the deadline? Another small body but he can finish... would be nice.
