Update, 3:59 p.m.:
Great win last night! Sleeping better now.Had allergic reaction last week. Thanks for the concern, though!#blownoutofproportion— Brian Boyle (@BriBrows22) April 11, 2013
...well that's very boring. Insomnia would have been much cooler.
During last night's telecast of the Rangers 3-2 shootout win against the Maple Leafs, Joe Micheletti mentioned that Brian Boyle has been dealing with some kind of sleeping disorder.
He went on to mention it again during the post game as he gave credit to Boyle for playing so well despite this malady.
After Micheletti reiterated his Boyle comments during Rangers Extra, Brian Leetch responded that he had no idea what sleeping issues the Rangers television analyst was talking about.
...it's very bizarre that we're first hearing about this from Micheletti and not the team. Actually, what the hell am I talking about? This is exactly what I should expect from the Rangers when it comes to a player's health.
...so what the hell is the issue? Insomnia? Personal problems? Micheletti was very cryptic and not very specific about what the problem was, making for a very strange situation.
...what's also odd is that you'd assume Boyle would be sleeping better now that the trade deadline is offer. Although this could always be the reason...
@thenyrblog he can't sleep without Prust around for those pre game naps.— Michael Dubecky (@M_Dubecks) April 11, 2013
@TheNYRBlog the fucking guy's sleep schedule is off. Only gets approx 2 1/2 hours. Usually from 7 to about 9:30
Maybe Boyle is allergic to his invisibility suit that he's been wearing all season?
I wouldn't be able to sleep either if I was stealing that much money from the NY Rangers
I should have used a plural "are" in the last sentence of my post just below. Cheap shots ARE just that - cheap.
Not to damp anyone's enthusiasm, but this "Boyle Derangement Syndrome" is getting rather tiresome. The man has played well of late (scoring goals is not all there is to a good player), so be kind enough to acknowledge that. Cheap shots, like the one involving Prust, is just that - cheap.
@TheNYRBlog I am allergic to Brian Boyle. Everytime I see him I wanna puke.
@TheNYRBlog Tom Poti syndrome.
@TheNYRBlog I would have bet it was the whole North Korea thing.......
@TheNYRBlog Damn. Thought we were headed for a "Fight Club" Boyle. Would have been great for Saturday
@TheNYRBlog Apparently he is allergic to scoring goals.
@TheNYRBlog i don't buy it tbh
FYI, Boyle just Tweeted he had an allergic reaction and he's sleeping better now. Guess we can sleep tonight knowing BB is catching his zzzzzz's.
could be just about anything. I usually only sleep 3 hours a night because I'm so freakin high energy I feel like electricity goes through my body at night - you get use to it
@TheNYRBlog no Prusty
Maybe there's a giant gaping wide open net terrozing him in his dreams. You know the kind he always misses when he has the chance to score

Could be a log of things. Micheletti kept saying "ailment", which leads me to believe it's something physical, but not necessarily injury related. Thyroid issues maybe? Those can be a bitch to treat and can cause all sorts of sleep problems (had a relative deal with this once and went through all sorts of medication and treatments before they finally found a solution).
@KeepingItNashty Can't believe anything that comes from the Rangers re: health of players. BTW did you see my new wallpaper?
@gravey94 You know it's a slow day, when this is our topic of conversation. lol
@Betweentheworlds alcohol or exercise. pick one to fix that. but NOT both.
@Brukie_ at times we all have missed him. and the naps with him. too much?
@Brianreich94 this is fucking funny!
@mvmone slippery slope.
@queensbee What contributed to its awesomeness is that it was a 3-way with MDZ.
@TheNYRBlog also boyle looks so anxious when he's on the ice to me. maybe he needs some xanax....
@TheNYRBlog I LOVE THAT!!!! i've seen it before it's sooooo perfect!!!!
@TheNYRBlog NO I DID NOT!!! I AM FAILING ON MY KEVIN STALKING GAME... HOLD ON!!
@KevinDeLury LOL. I was hoping it was related to the 17-year cicadas. Somehow it's probably related to Torts' line changes!
@rangermom this invokes images that i do not want. thanks.
@TheNYRBlog You should put the Rangers Islanders brawl from 98 on the Islanders hate segment! it's on YouTube.
@TheNYRBlog how could I ever not be interested...
@KeepingItNashty Got to keep you interested.
@TheNYRBlog I love when you try to impress me
@KeepingItNashty Yeah, I couldn't keep the clouds after you questioned my manhood.
@queensbee always relaxed and no to blondes. and hags.
@IcyCup Blondes more your type? We could see what Hags is up to... ;) [I kid, I kid... relax.]
