The #NYR will go with same lineup tonight...Henrik Lundqvist in goal— New York Rangers (@NYRangers) April 5, 2013
...they better be going with the same line-up!
Meanwhile, Pat Leonard at the Daily News reports that both Marc Staal and JT Miller are on the road trip (Pitt, Car, & Tor) with the team.
Leonard adds that while Miller skated with the team this morning, Staal was not on the ice and will leave the team in Carolina to visit his family and then meet back up with the team in New York.
Steve Zipay at Newsday says Miller is still getting treatment on his wrist but will not need surgery.
...good to hear Miller is at least skating again. Got to assume he'll immediately be sent back to Whale once healthy.
Would love to have Kenny Albert do TV play by play. Malone runs hot and cold - maybe cause I hated him as a player talk about soft!
If we beat the Pens again tonight, this will be me (in a good way!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5D-wgfJrAY
So with Moore looking pretty good and Staal seeming to be coming back within next week or 2, how soon before Hamrlik gets waived (and before Gilroy is sent to Whale.
So anyway, do we even have any other forwards (other than the injured Miller) as depth that are not in Hartford? Who's next on the CT to NY train?
Glad to have them back on MSG TV. The only thing that marred the great victory on Wednesday was not having our guys announcing and no trade analysis/reaction from the MSG team. Looking forward to & terrified for tonight's game! ;)
@TheNYRBlog Cerny already tweeted that they're going with same lineup
You say that about keeping the lineup the same, but i am sure we will all gladly put staal back in the lineup for eminger, even if we have won 10 in a row
@TheNYRBlog wasn't miller sent to whale?
Nash -- Stepan -- Callahan
Clowe -- Richards -- Zuccarello
Hagelin -- Brassard -- Boyle
Pyatt -- Powe -- Asham
McDonagh -- Girardi
Del Zotto -- Stralman
Moore -- Eminger
@greggray24 Maybe you're glad they're back, but I look forward to professional announcers at least.
I do prefer MSG only because I can watch the replays and the between periods and postgame analysis work by Duguay, Leetch etc is spot on.
However, I can do with replacements for Sam and Joe soon and most of my friends and family feel the same. Sam used to be a top hockey play-by-play guy but has gone downhill fast the past year or 2. Micheletti - master of the obvious and often needs 2 or 3 replays to see what the average viewer sees on the live shot.
@snowkitten35 I know. I wasn't telling them to do it, just agreeing with their decision to do it.
@Josh6 When that situation comes up, then things will be different. But I mean...why think about that right now?
@Josh6 That's obvious.
@mcolucci1 He was recalled so Rangers can treat his injured wrist. Was only sent to Whale so he'd be eligible for AHL playoffs.
@AG_Blue How do you feel about Dorsett for Pya if/when he comes back healthy?
@AG_Blue I actually liked these lines quite a bit!
@sureshore @greggray24 Hey anyone is better then that clown Emrick. Kept in by Girardi..... Dude it's freaking Stralman not Girardi.... He messes up the names all te time and mixes up the players playing the puck. His coke bottles need repair.
@sureshore I prefer my home town announcers though I do understand your criticism. I would take Eddie O for color any day but Doc makes me crazy. I can't stand the nonsense he adds into the play by play. Just tell me what is happening in the game and stop trying to show how many irrelevant facts you know. Anyway, I assume many love the guy since he is so well respected but I'll take Sam any day over him. Been listening to him so long that Sam's like family.
@TheNYRBlog cool deal
@JoshKaye because I think he is a lot closer then everyone thinks. I mean once he gets his vision back, if he wears a full visor he should be able to play soon after. I think we could see him for the last 5 or 6 regular season games before the postseason
@TheNYRBlog ahhhh thx
