The worst possible night of hockey for the New York Rangers.... every team they were competing against got two points
Had plenty of chances, but not enough sustained forecheck. PP continues to be completely awful. Mason played great, Lundqvist was average.
Still have no idea why we seem to come out flat EVERY NIGHT.
Mike Milbury said it best after the game....
"This Ranger team has lacked enthusiasm all year"
And sadly...that statement is right on the money.
You cannot come out flat for two period in a rivalry game..with playoff importance.
And to boot...one of the few guys who actually take the body on this team...Boyle...is hurt.
I'm making the call right now.......Recall Haley. The kid plays with heart and passion. He plays with energy. He will take the body on every single shift...guaranteed.
Haley on 4th....Pyatt on the 3rd line
man they are talking about "lack of enthusiasm" and the NYR, what happened to this team... Brad Richards decline? General distaste for Torts? I don't get it, I didnt even see cally throw a hit tonight
So glad I hurried home for the second half of the game -- actually, it sounds like the better half, but the result .......
welp, what a surprise the Rangers show inconsistency yet agian... they miss the playoffs and Torts or Richards has to go, 7 games against shitty team, they better figure crap out
Ok gang...I'm going to vomit...then go to bed.
Ugh...two big points on the line....and they come out for two periods with ZERO intensity.
I will say if Hank did not let in the weak second goal then this is a different game...but Hank cannot steal them all.
We need to show urgency. It has been seen in only short bursts tonight. Kind of funny how now that the new players have "learned" our techniques this team goes back to looking like it did pre-trade.
@SleepingWithNash or we need to get new players to come in every 5-7 games lol
Nobody throws the body....thats the problem. And Boyle...the only guy who it seems throws a body check every night...is hurt.
Call up Haley ASAP
Nash needs to pick up his physical play. Since that Lucic hit...he's recorded only 17 hits...in 25 games. Physically...he's turned into Chris Kreider!!
@JustinRP37 anytime he lets in more than 2 goals I consider it a bad game by him...
Seriously, man, what's the deal?
@AnnoyingJoe well, rangers fan would probably do the opposite right now, so it kinda makes sense...
@McPhee37 Moore going to get more time???
@McPhee37 Its not Bryzgalov
@McPhee37 i like newbury
He may now
yeah...i like him too. But Haley is a bigger hitter......
This team needs an energy infusion......someone who will consistently take the freaking body. I'm getting of watching this team go through the motions.....
Bring up Haley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@IcyCup I am hard to impress. He is too unpredictable, some nights he is great while some he looks disinterested. But he is awesome when he plays hard. Got to be consistent!
@JustinRP37 youve made that clear.
