#NYR practice lines: Nash-Stepan-Callahan (same), Clowe-Richards-Boyle, Hagelin-Brassard-Zuccarello, Pyatt-Powe-Asham (same).— Andrew Gross (@AGrossRecord) April 12, 2013
John Tortorella told Gross after practice that he felt the lines were getting stale and wanted to try something new.
...i thought Torts jumbling the lines on every shift vs. Toronto was trying "something new."
...that Brassard line could be a winner. Lots of speed and creativity. The Richards line? Not so much.
Gross also reports that Marc Staal indicated there was nothing new to report on a possible timetable for his return.
CANT BELIEVE WHAT IAM SEEING, BOYLE GETS MUCH MORE ICE TIME THEN NASH.WHAT TAPE DOES HE HAVE ON THE MIDGET
Kevin: Don't know if you received an email I sent abt half an hour ago,
but the problem with ads, especially on the left hand side, overlapping/obscuring the story copy has gone away. Go figure.
You asked abt the browser. I use Aol through Windows Internet Exlorer.
I' m hoping this is the end of the problem as your site is my favorite Ranger site.
I ALSO AGREE WITH JOE WITH THE FIGHTING VIDEO.COACH SULLY AND MCDONAGH BOTH SAID CLOWES FIGHT SPARKED TEAM.CANT WAIT TO SEE DORSETT
What does that have to do with what I said,I WOULD RATHER PYATT PLAY IN HARTFORD AND KEEP ASHAM ON 4TH LINE.I WOULD PUT KREIDER WITH HAGS AND MAYBE ZUCKS SO YOU HAVE SPEED TO BURN AND A GOOD PLAY MAKER.
nOT SURE IF YOU RECEIVED MY PREVIOUS EMAIL ABOUT ADS ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE PAGE OVERLAPPIG STORIES.
hOW DO i RESOLVE THIS PREDICAMENT. hELP!!!!!!!!
line changes, meh. this is what they need...
Am I in the minority in thinking that we need to have Boyle playing center? He was doing great taking the draws. No to mention that now he has seemed to find a way to use his size to his advantage.
The Hagelin -- Brassard -- Zuccarello line debuted Wednesday night at the Garden. Torts rolled this group out in the second period. I guess he wanted to see more.
@TheNYRBlog are u watching the masters? Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like tigers caddy is wearing a NYR t-shirt under his caddy uni.
@TheNYRBlog Is it not obvious to put Kreider @ RW with Richards + Clowe and Boyle Between Powe and Ash? Pyatt in vs. Kreider is absurd.
I am a fan of this for one reason, and one reason only... Less ice time for Brad Richards. Pick one of the last games of the year, and just focus on him, you will see that he is horrendous. He doesn't move his legs, at times he forgets how to skate, and his shot is awful plus he turns the puck over all the time. Tomorrow the first goal will be huge... Just looking at stats on nhl.com and apparently the rangers are one of the best teams in the league when playing with a lead. 5th when leading after the first period, and tied for first (undefeated) when leading after two. Not to mention they have a streak going where they are 82-0-7 when leading after two, that is an insane stat. LGR, beat the fish sticks
@TheNYRBlog poor clowe being on that line.
@howiehockey STOP YELLING!
@howiehockey No idea Howie. That's the first I'm hearing of it. What browser are you using.
@BulldogLine torts happened
@icyirish What did josh change his profile name again?
@icyirish But would you rather Krieder play in Hartford or on a line with Asham
@shmohawk He has been playing much better at wing. He can still take faceoffs, but when you simplify the game for him, he plays better. I think that was the logic behind the move, and It has been working the past couple of games.
@shmohawk He can still take draws while playing the wing. His play has been better while on the wing.
@AG_Blue I'm excited to see them together for the first 1.5 shifts of saturday's game.
@myar2011 Yeah, his caddy is a big Rangers fans.
@Josh6 I cant control myself buddy...You know I have to disagree with you lol... Richards has been playing better lately. He will get his game back at some point. You don't just forget how to play. This isn't Space Jam.
@Josh6 Sounds like last year. They were deadly going into the third period with a lead. I think that is one of the things that I miss the most from last year. It's also one of the things that needs to happen to make a deep run this year.
@Josh6 wow that's an incredible stat....
@PenaltySh0t just how slow is fuck anyway?
@TruBluEsp I didn't think of that, is that how they have been handling it? I would think he would line up as center to take draws and then play as a wing after the draw.
@PenaltySh0t yea they said it during the game against Toronto, and I was like wow now they are going to lose, but they pulled it out
@AnnoyingJoe @PenaltySh0t really slow I you and your partner wear some thrift shop wool turtlenecks and listen to some Leonard Cohen haha
@shmohawk He's been playing the wing but when they need a big faceoff, he's been put on the ice
