Soooooooo, Henrik Lundqvist. Sort of good last night. How good? This good...
Here's John Tortorella on Lundqvist's performance last night...
"That's the best I've seen him play since I've been here. He certainly finds a way to get us a win tonight."
Torts adds this on Lundqvist's competitiveness...
"I have never seen anyone prepare like he does and compete as hard as he does all the time. He stole us one."

Rick Nash added this on Lundqvist...
"He was unbelievable. He kept us in the game early and then late. Once again he was the backbone of our team and our best player."

Huge win for the boys tonight! Stellar performance by @hlundqvist30 Wow!— Ryane Clowe (@ryaneclowe29) April 7, 2013
...with the Hurricanes struggling mightily and Lundqvist tweaking his groin in Pittsburgh Friday, this game seemed like the perfect spot for Biron. Good thing Torts fills out the line-up card and not me.
...this is the Lundqvist we were used to seeing last year. Covering for every mistake the team makes and stealing games. And watch out now, Lundqvist all of a sudden puttin himself in contention for a second straight Vezina Trophy.
...now, can we get the guy a friggin' shutout please.
Here's Lundqvist after the game...
...i really like this post game Lundqvist rather than the one last week who looked like he needed a hug.
Wow is right - this was an understandably tire Rangers team who played well but had a hard time keeping up at times and Hank got us 2. Most other NHL stating goalies may occasionally put in a comparable performance but this guy does it every night, even early in the season when he was "bad" he was good. He's got to be one of the most consistent goalies ever, and you know what - he's still getting better.
Goalie mom here not happy with the puck turnover to deny our king his rightful shut out...but happy that everyone's back on their games at last :)
Without Hank we lose that game...They played a better game in Pitt.... but they were on the 2nd game of a back to back and the Canes weren't, so I'm really not too worried about it...got the 2 points......they should b better tom. night in Toronto
You weren't the only one who thought it should have been Biron. Glad I was wrong. Great game by Hank!
Yeah, covering for the mistakes made by the guys, which were WAY too many. Love the two points. Don't love the way they played.
@TheNYRBlog Lundy was great...but its not a coincidence that when he starts "system" non sense Torts this happens..7 minutes bottom 6 D?
@mvmone You and me both. lol
