Lets just say as the typical superstitious hockey fan, I was none to happy to see this arrive in my e-mail this afternoon....
...listen, I get the Rangers need to start advertising the tickets, especially if it comes down to the final day of the season, but man talk about jinxing yourself.
...as aside, if you are interested in purchasing playoff tickets, loan interest rates are at an all-time low. So there's that.
I guess if you want to go to a playoff game, better make sure you buy tickets to Game 3 or 4 of the 1st round. Those will be our only home games this season.
Not going to lie... I would have LOVED to clinch, but I like this pressure... but i am wierd like that. These next two games will show us what is at this teams core... If they choke, well I think you have some problems. But, with Cally leading who I think is a "winner" I think the Rangers are successful, and end up with the 7 maybe the 6. Either playing Boston/Montreal or Washington is not bad for us. Honestly, if we play our game no one in the NHL can beat us, they just have not found that level this year......
Yet, Richards is clicking... Stepan is always clicking.... if Nash gets going and Hank gets hot, I think a lot of people will be surprised by just how far we go. Remember at the beginning of the season everyone picked us for the cup... we did not finish first in the conference... but if we get in we have the talent to win it all. I just hope Staal is back, he could be the key piece of the puzzle
No worries. We got Nashty.
LET THE WOOKIE WIN!!!
Um... doesn't pretty much every professional sports franchise do it this way? There is a deadline where the team is either eliminated from playoff contention or not. Unless they are eliminated tickets go on sale. I think this is one superstition people need to put to rest.
Alright, why the hell is everyone so afraid of the Penguins? That's all I've been seeing in the comment section lately. We have a legit shot against them. All this talk of "ohhhh if we get the 8th seed we're finished" is complete bullshit.
Optimism trumps jinxes, As an eternal optimist, I can safely say that if the Rangers win tomorrow, Kreider will get five minutes against the Devils.
Btw must be nice to not be playing for anything.... This kid is going to have some fun tonight in his NHL debut :)
Hobey Baker Winner Drew Leblanc will make his NHL Debut tonight with The Chicago Blackhawks , Leblanc will Center Patrick Kane & Patrick Sharp .
If they don't wrap it up tomorrow, the Devils will be insanely motivated, especially after the taunting they received from the Garden faithful. Need to win tomorrow
Stupid email..that's no jynx that full confidence that were making the playoff and we deserve to be there
Agree but they already mailed out tickets to season ticket holders so this email is nothing! (My family got them yesterday lol)
The team has embarrassed themselves enough already this year. Not making the playoffs in light of the above would be perfect.
@MikeL1981 I love the optimism! Go get 'em boys!!
@Josh6 If everyone picked them for the cup this year than I am the oddball because I did not see them as cup ready before this campaign.. These are the reasons. Lost some grit. Coach doesn't adapt well and with the new personnel got better offensIvely and less grind, but Torts didn't modify his system (from what I can see) insisting on using a system that works better for low scoring gritty teams. Still lacking 1 or 2 power forwards, a true 1st line center (sorry, never considered Richy as one, too soft, not good enough in face offs and not defensive enough to play against other teams' top lines as his career negative plus/minus validates, and they tied up a lot of money to get him). No blue line cannon. They did get better in the trade increasing our odds for a cup and they do have the most important peice of the puzzle: The King but still not there yet. NOW PROVE ME WRONG RANGERS!!!!
@tygalpin I'm not afraid of the pens in the playoffs. I don't like Montreal or Boston for us as a matchup. There's no factual basis for it but its just the way I feel.
@tygalpin Fear No-One
@AnnoyingJoe Shit, that has disaster written all over it if we dont win tomorrow...
@Josh6 another interest free loan for Mr. Dolan.
@Melissa (blknblueshirts) Ugh! Even worse.
@NH_NYR_88 Just being a realist. I hope we do go on a Cup run but this years team hasnt given me a reason to believe they are capable of such. We've beaten the Pens how many times the last few seasons? And we'll suddenly beat them 4 out of 7? After a full season of us being mediocre? Like I said, I hope it happens but I wont be confident until being given a reason to be.
@ivanricov Not to mention, from talking to some Pens fans, the Rangers are definitely the team they do not want to face. They're scared of us (with good reason).
@KevinDeLury That was my dad's opinion. I mean I get it cause they won't have a lot of time after season ends but still. Hopefully it isn't a jinx...
@ivanricov ...and on top of it all, we either have to beat the Pens or beat the team that beats the Pens to win it all, so I don't really get how some people are acting.
