Nash Scores a Hatty... In Switzerland

Written by Neill Fowler on .

More news sure to depress Ranger fans. Rick Nash, in his first game playing for HC Davos dropped a natural hat trick in the first period and later tacked on an assist in the second period. Davos won 9-2. Rick Nash played for HC Davos during the 2004 lockout and scored 27 goals in 44 games.

You gotta be happy for the guy, but he needs to be scoring natural hat tricks on MSG ice, not over in another country. If you're a cup half full type, at least Nash is giving us something to look forward to...

If you're wondering who the goalie was that Nash scored 3 times on today, it's a name you might recognize... David Aebischer.

You know what, not just this post but the general tenor of the past few weeks and the cumulative effect it has had on me leads me to ask - why does every story sound like a 13 year-old girl that got dumped by her boyfriend...we're all disappointed, but please, the CONSTANT WHINING! And can you figure out a way so that the Facebook posts don't show an ad for AceDepot? geez, we're all Ranger fans and all of us want to see hockey, but if I need whining I'll just follow the presidential campaign...

@smoothyv So what are you looking for, a celebration of the lockout? Are we supposed to be in a good mood because the sport we love could be cancelled AGAIN? And sorry about the ads on Facebook but that's the pic it defaults to in my Facebook "page" app.

@KevinDeLury  @smoothyv Hey Kev, about the facebook images, there are options to set your facebook image per page through metatags on your page. You should be able to ask Bloguin to set a default facebook image for when there's no pics in the post itself, and when there is a pic in your post, to take that image :) (it's all just html tags and I'm sure they can easily fix that for you!) cheers!

@KevinDeLury  @smoothyv no, I don't expect a celebration, that's not what I said, but it seems like there are more posts about negative stuff than there ever was about positive stuff when games are going on...you rant about the owners being a--holes, and then this morning you are quick to call the union disgraceful for something you have little of NO information about...I want hockey too, and when I started following this blog I thought there was some insightful and thoughtful hockey talk, maybe now that there is no hockey my expectations are too high, I'm just saying it is getting a little much...is this the National Hockey Enquirer or a way for all of us to try and get through this..

@smoothyv  @KingHenrikRocks I always appreciate constructive criticism so thanks. Have a couple of fun ideas that we'll be doing during the lockout. One of which I'll be announcing tomorrow.

@KingHenrikRocks  @KevinDeLury understood, and I appreciate Kevin's dedication to the Rangers and this blog, I honestly mean that...and, I understand that he needs to keep it interesting to make sure people follow - my criticism is constructive - I want to follow, it is a great blog, but maybe it's just me, I'm really tired of  what I feel is "whining"...maybe we all are venting in our own way, and the only real solution is to play some hockey...I still want to hear the great stuff that come s from Ranger fans here, but I thought it was getting a little annoying - just my POV...I support this blog and all Ranger fans, just for the record.

@smoothyv  @KevinDeLury  Kevin's entitled to his point of view, to be bummed, cranky or whatever.  I'm personally thankful he's keeping this blog going.  I'm sure my family will tire of me saying "so sad" every day, but I'll still say it.  Lockout sucks.
