Michael St. Croix Picks Up Where He Left Off
Like we never left Michael St.Croix tallies the first goal of the 2012-13 season just over a minute in! 1-0 Oil Kings!

New York Rangers 2011 4th round draft pick Michael St. Croix and his Edmonton Oil Kings kicked off the 2012-13 season by raising their championship banner as 2012 WHL Champions. So naturally it only made sense that St. Croix, the Oil Kings leading scorer (45g, 60a) from last seasons' championship team kept the party going with his first goal at 1:01 of the first period. St. Croix would later add on a primary assist on an Oil Kings' power play in the second period.
Every time I hear or read something else on this kid, I can't help but feel excited about his potential at the next level. St. Croix stood to get a long look at camp and likely a top line spot in the Traverse City tournament. If there wasn't a lockout and St. Croix had an exceptionally strong camp, I don't know how the Rangers would've sent him back to Edmonton without giving him a 10 game shot on the Rangers first.
