Kreider Works the Legs

Written by Kevin DeLury on .

Lately, The New York Rangers Blog has been reporting about young Rangers prospects participating alongside NHL players in camps this offseason to take their games to the next level. Chris Kreider on the other hand has decided to stick with the weight room...

Earlier this summer video surfaced of Kreider doing deadlifts.

...you don't get as fast as Kreider is by sitting on the couch all off season. Assuming Kreider is doing more than enough on-ice workouts as well, but it's great seeing a young guy strengthening himself in the gym in an effort to keep up physically with the men in the NHL.

@David...sorry to be a pessimist. Since the two sides have completely stopped talking, it appears inevitable. But I would LOVE to be surprised by a last minute negotiation that makes everyone happy & doesn't screw the fans.

At least Kreider's mindset is full speed ahead. Work now, still have an advantage later.

we'll see hockey this season, even if it's delayed. until it's official, why worry about a lockout?
