Halpern Given #11 in NHL13?!?!?!?!
Written by Kevin DeLury on .

Reader Adam R. notes that this faux pas is only on the main screen as Halpern's number changes to 12 in game play.
Although this pic from d.fresh says differently...

Halpern wore #15 for the Capitals last season, but did wear #11 with the Lightning and during his first stint in Washington in the early 2000s.
...wow, just wow. Hurry up, someone check the rest of the Rangers roster to make sure Asham isn't wearing #7.
...absolutely inexcusable for EA Sports to make this mistake. If it's in the game, it's in the game. Except for the retirement of Mark Messier's number.

All u have to do is fownload the roster update and he will be #12. Definately a stupid error tho. Haha
If you play GM mode as the Rangers, it switches him to #12 and if you try and give someone else #11 it says number retired
@TheNYRBlog #NHL13Fail A Legends team that has current players but not Messier? Fine Giroux is on the cover but other active players? Why?
@TheNYRBlog my friend has the game, it says 11, but when you play the game he's 13 or 14 no one can be 11
@MTopper319 Did you see the pic I posted in the link? Halpern was wearing #11 in the game. It shouldn't even say it on the main screen.
@TheNYRBlog yea I just saw that, strange, and he's deff an EA sports fuck up, all the more reason I won't buy @NHL 13 #NOLOCKOUT
@TheNYRBlog nhl franchise really slacking, between that huge blunder, and rating kreider a 68, the game is severely lacking in accuracy
Well that explains why when I selected Halpern to guarantee a playoff victory over the guy I was playing I lost. EA Sports has to fix this immediately.
If you play GM mode they ask if you want retired numbers on and if you do they won't allow you to use them. One this is in player edit gabby is shown with number 9. To the best of my knowledge he's only ever worn 10.
@GLENsatherVSglennDANZIG To me that's a terrible option to even have in the game. The number is retired. End of story. Just my opinion.
@KevinDeLury @GLENsatherVSglennDANZIG I don't think EA cares about accurate player numbers because you can go in and change them to anything you want at any time.
Still, this is just plain head scratching.
@TheWrage @KevinDeLury I totally agree with you guys but unfortunately they don't make these games for history or nostalgia. That's why they have all the different game plays and created player modes. There's a large portion of the game that is made for morons. That being said...the game sticking rules!!!
Ive said it from the beginning that EA sucks.
They do a terrible job on player ratings, on European teams, on realism of the game and they have no idea anything about the NHL or hockey.
This is not the first time and wont be the last.
I would be fine with any of the years gameplay if they just were more accurate with the players traits and overall attribute especially the European and young players and stuff like this.
Guarantee you this does not get fixed for quite some time.
