...getting more concerned by the day that this season isn't starting on time. On a positive note, if this is true, the season will start just in time for a Gaborik return from shoulder surgery.
Speaking of the lockout, there's this...
If you missed it, still no meetings scheduled between NHL and NHLPA. But hey, the day is young.— Chris Botta (@ChrisBottaNHL) September 4, 2012
...unreal. You see this and have to wonder if either side cares about getting a deal done before the September 15th deadline. As always, the fans will be the biggest losers of the lockout
It would be nice to have Gabby back. This shoulder thing can be tricky. I had an appointment with my Dr. this morning for a fractured and dislocated shoulder that I did a month ago and he said that I probably wouldn't be 100% until a year from now. I'm sure Gabby will be ready because of the superior health care that he's getting. But jeeze you gotta think about all the stuff he's gotta use his shoulder for. I also have a new respect for what he did in the playoffs with a torn wing. I can hardly get my shoulder parallel! Gotta hand it to the guy.
@GLENsatherVSglennDANZIG Just in case anyone missed this from August 7th, re: Gaborik recovery —
Well I never did bother to request time from work for the preseason tix I bought for this very reason. Just hoping.....
I've been saying recently that Black Friday (or even the Winter Classic) would be the first day of the NHL season.
Never thought I'd actually be right. Sheesh.
