McIlrath Knee Progressing
Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record reports that Dylan McIlrath's knee has progressed this summer and he will learn a lot more after his next exam, including when he might be cleared for skating, in a couple of weeks...
“It’s a slow process, I wanted to do it right,” McIlrath said. “I’ve had no setbacks all summer. I know it’s looking as good as it can be right now. I can do upper-body and I’m trying to maintain my fitness that way. About a month ago, I was able to start hitting the bike. Obviously, I’m trying to build strength in that leg so I can be ready."
Rangers Assistant GM Jim Schoenfeld added...
“He’s got another exam coming up and we’ll know more. There’s no sense guessing or speculating. He’s been rehabbing this summer and doing everything he needs to do.”
...great news. Even if he wasn't injured, I didn't expect him to crack the Rangers roster at any point this season, but the sooner he can get back the better chance he has next season.
