ESPN Likes the Rangers this Season

Written by Kevin DeLury on .

Pierre LeBrun and Scott Burnside at ESPN.com each released their power rankings and here's what they said about the Rangers...

LeBrun...

1. Rangers - Rick Nash was the perfect addition and fit. Just hope he stays clear of any more injuries in Switzerland. Would like to see the Rangers add another impact defenseman at some point, but overall I think these guys are tops in the East.

Burnside...

2. Rangers - Adding Rick Nash to an already stellar defensive club, which boasts the defending Vezina Trophy winner in Henrik Lundqvist, suggests the Rangers are ready to the take final step to legitimate Cup-contender status. The lockout is also beneficial for the Rangers as Marian Gaborik continues to rehab from offseason shoulder surgery.

...i know, i know. Who cares? What does it matter? Blah, blah, blah. I'm running out of stuff to blog about, ok.

...actually the worst part about me posting this is that ESPN loves the Rangers. Which is never a good omen.

This makes me want the lockout to continue because the boys always play better when no one is talking about them. My message to the media? The Rangers suck, they're horrible, move along, nothing to see here.... LEAVE THEM ALONE PLEASE!!!!
