Boyle Skating in Massachusetts
Written by Kevin DeLury on .
Colin Brown tweets this pic of Brian Boyle playing some pickup hockey in Hingham, Massachusetts...

...got to love professional hockey players participating in a pickup game. No chance of him getting hurt there (eye roll).
...btw how miserable does Boyle look in the pic?

Well, at least the local guys will get a thrill. I know I did a few years back when Kyle Wilson of the Washington Capitals came to our local rink one day. It was a blast!
@gregp524 Maybe it's not an official jersey. Purchased at Modell's Sporting Goods before the game. lol
@TheNYRBlog I live in RI. They don't sell Rangers stuff in stores here. Hell before last year they barely sold Bruins things.
@TheNYRBlog so they should sit around thumb in ass? it’s a lockout, dudes aren’t going to sit home hoping.
@NomarFachix I agree but just hate the idea of him playing in a pickup game. Some guys try to re-live old glories & get a little 2 serious

Love that he's rocking the liberty jersey in a pick-up game. Probably just to make sure no one mistakes him for one of his 30 brothers. "Nope, I'm the one that ACTUALLY plays pro hockey..." Can't even tell which teams he's on, looks like everyone else is in white or red.
@johnnyb3910 I'm pretty sure it's a NYR practice jersey. Either way I think it should be inside out. Pretty sure in Canada when pros play shinny/pickup they turn their pro affiliation inside out. Tradition or something...
@_Jack Practice jersey was what I meant. Now that you mention it though, I'm kinda surprised the NHLPA hasn't told these guys to lose all their team stuff. The minute the lockout started you couldn't buy player gear from nhl.com, surprised the players are still showing allegiances to teams, feel like he should be wearing an NHLPA jersey.
