Operation Hat Trick Raises $500,000; Rangers Worth A Little More Than That

Written by Kevin DeLury on .

...the jersey auction should bring in another $10 - 15,000. Amazing job by everyone involved. Even Brodeur.

Speaking of money, Forbes released their list of 2012 NHL Team Values and the Rangers landed at #2 with a team value of $750 million...

"The value of the Rangers increased 48% during the past year mainly due to revenue-enhancing renovations at their arena."

...wonder how the team values will be affected by the lockout.

...we may not like the increased ticket prices, but the Dolans know how to make a buck. Not that anyone gives them credit for it...

...despite my constant criticism of those increases, I've got to take issue with the results of this survey. Whenever Glen Sather wants a player James Dolan is always there with the money. He never gets in the way and always comes through. Not sure what else you want from an owner.

The least effective thing is dumb. It would be cool if he was more of a face, more public, but he doesnt hold the team back. and did you see the devils? laughable on that list

@ChrisP Yep, he has no role in personnel decisions so not sure how he can be deemed ineffective. Bottom line, he puts his money where his mouth is.

@TheNYRBlog people think that Dolan is ineffective because of how he is with the Knicks.
