Ok so they have no deal, they are done making proposals, at this point what is the sense in it anyway. I will never say I am not a hockey fan, but I was at one point. That is senseless as well. I am a true Ranger fan. I
The most frustrating part about this is none of the people doing the talking for the NHL (including owners) are real hockey people. The moment players started signing to play overseas should have been the clue to the owners that the lockout is not hurting the players. They are still making money and are still playing,
In the meantime Bettman and his Gang of 8 sit there thinking that the NHLPA will give up and accept the NHL offer. Not this time Gary not as long as the NHL superstars are able to still make money. The NHLPA took a page from the 2004 lockout and started telling players to put away money 2 years ago. They knew the NHL would repeat the lockout.
How does Daly not understand that there are only about 32 people including himself, who are insane enough to think that any of the NHL's proposals were even half decent?
Its getting to the point where its not just bad blood between the players and owners, I feel a personal hatred developing towards NHL.
At this point I just want to know the season is cancelled so I can stop paying for cable because unlike both sides I am struggling to scrape by and one of the few luxuries I invest is an $90 per month sink hole with no effin Rangers on.
Lost a fan here. A good fan with two small boys who were being groomed into Rangers/NHL fans...

Its disgusting to watch the slow, senseless death of the league we love(d) so much.
This is a textbook case of a group of greedy egomaniacs spitefully arguing with another group of egomaniacs. There is no prevailing drive toward compromise when you're in this type of situation with people who have all been viewed as "successes" their entire lives.
Not to be political, but it's not that dissimilar from what we've see with the office of the president and congress over the last few years.
They're so caught up in it that they can't see the forest through the trees. They can't possibly fathom how bad this is for hockey. Do they see how the world continues to turn without the NHL? It's not the NFL, the sport needs these people more than the people need the sport.
As I've said all along since this mess started. There will be no season as long as the owners keep this sniveling worm of a commissioner. Nobody and i mean nobody cares about the fans here. The diehards , like myself are the real losers here. Do us all a favor and just cancel it already. I'll watch AHL hockey.
Hate the thought of not even a partial season. So many terrible things going on in our area, and was hoping to have some hockey relief...very sad :(
