...UGH!!!!!! Can we please get a CBA agreeent done now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Speaking of injured Rangers playing overseas, Mattias Ek at Hockey Expressen reports that Carl Hagelin will not return to Sweden to play for Sodertalje as he will stay in New York to rehab his shoulder injury.
Ek adds that Hagelin's contract will end December 8th.
Hagelin had 5g, 6a in eight games.
...not sure if this is good news or bad news. Good news that he won't be playing in Europe anymore, and obviously the bad news that he's injured so badly he won't be able to play again this season.
...we just have to hope this is more precautionary than anything.
H/T to reader Edvin L.
In some good news from across the pond, Rick Nash did this the other night (2:18 mark)...

@TheNYRBlog Here's the link for the release on Barys site, if you'd like to Google translate: http://t.co/jhJE2qsx
@byndblueshirts To be honest, I'm just so sick of following these guys overseas. I just need this lockout to end.
@TheNYRBlog I hear ya! I just get touchy about legit stuff from overseas being dismissed as "rumor" or "lost in translation".
@TheNYRBlog Ha. Flattery will get you everywhere. Andrey's a worthwhile follow. Pulls info from press & has connex to # of young Rus players
@byndblueshirts There's so much garbage coming from over there it's hard to tell. Which is why I follow u. If ur tweeting it, must b legit.
@TheNYRBlog "no injury concerns" & "no injury" are not necessarily same thing. Andrey's info came directly from Barys site, not a "rumor".
In case you didn't see, Pat confirmed there is no injury to McDonagh so now we have to hope everything is okay with his family. Maybe he's just homesick?
As for Hags, I saw him on the ice on Friday. No he wasn't taking slap shots but otherwise he looked fine to me. I really think this is just precautionary and since he wouldn't be ready till beginning of December, there was no point in him returning if his contract was expiring.
@Melissa (angelzeyes2521) Look at you being all calm while I'm trying to get everyone in a panic. lol
@KevinDeLury Lol! Yeah I'm done panicking. I'm at the I don't care point as long as the boys (and in this case their families) are okay. See what the lockout has done to me? Helped that I didn't see this news till after we were assured he was okay ;-)
Has there been any talk about what kind of play this injury happened on? Jeeze, does Europe have doctors? Every injury seems to be so vague.
Those goalies are Swiss alright ... Swiss Cheese! Looks like you can score from anywhere on the ice. But Nash prefers to skate the puck into the net. He shoots sometimes, right?
@AG_Blue I love that he takes it to the net. And how about that speed to beat the D!? I realize that it's the Swiss league but his strides just look so powerful. I'm bot comparing him to Mario Lemieux but his skating kinda reminds me of him. He just looks so hard on the puck.
It keeps getting worse, and worse, and worse, and worse, and worse and just.. FUCK
@TheNYRBlog Watch them resolve this now that Rangers injuries are piling up....can we get a message to the Swiss to bench Nash?
