Caps Turn Tables on Rangers
Throughout the season the Rangers have frustrated opponents with their defensive system and blocked shots, well last night the Capitals gave the Rangers a does of their own medicine which Ryan Callahan acknowledges (via Blueshirts United)...
"It is easy to get frustrated (against Washington), but we just have to make sure we don't. I think that's what we have done to teams this year, frustrate them with the way we play. So that's what they are waiting for and what they want, but we have stayed consistent with our game."
The Capitals had 24 blocks last night.
...thought this quote was very interesting, because if you look at the post game quotes of the Rangers opponents this season, I guarantee you they all said the same thing about the Blueshirts.
...i still think that Washington's game plan plays into the Rangers hands, because without the critical mistakes last night (and a couple of posts) the Rangers are up 2-0. Still feel very confident about the Rangers chances of moving on.
