...well that's not good. With them not practicing today, I'd be shocked if either one of them was in the line-up tomorrow vs. Carolina.
Meanwhile, John Tortorella believes Mats Zuccarello will be back in the line-up tomorrow night, adding this about the Rangers pint-sized forward...
"He is very well liked and respected in that locker room...and he is very creative...it's a gift he has."
...after the power play dominance last night, he better be back in the line-up.
Also at practice, Benoit Allaire worked with Henrik Lundqvist (pic via Rangers)...
...with Hank uncharacteristically fighting the puck recently, it's good to see him get some extra work with Allaire.
...fulling expecting Biron to get the start tomorrow night.
Brad Richards tells Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record that he feels more chemistry with Marian Gaborik now than at the beginning of season and is starting to understand where he'll be on ice.
...geez, it only took all year.
Finally, Gross reports these lines from practice...
@TheNYRBlog Hoping I'm not cursing them, but, on the second line, where there was once GAS, there is now SAD.
NOt to rain on Zucc's MVP parade or anything... but there were a lot more changes on the PP and in the lineup in general last night than just adding Zucc and I dont think its fair to place seemingly all the success on his shoulders.
I"d wager that moreso than Zucc, adding Boyle to the front of the net had a LOT more to do with the 3 PPG than Zucc, seeing as all 3 of them were direct results of Nabakov being screened by none-other-than Brian Boyle.
Almost, the Hageling/Richards/Gaborik line is sickeningly good. Hags speed creates so much chaos that it leaves Richards/Gabby with lots of free ice to work with... and if the opponent decided to cover Gabby/Richards instead, Hags is more than capable of putting the puck in the net himself.
@JustDanceAnisimov - Dubinsky - Callahan was a lot better last year
@Chris_in_MA The biggest change to the PP to me has been Richards firing whenever he gets the puck. Big body in front or not, you can't score unless you shoot.
I do find it funny that you spelled "typo" wrong when pointing out how many mistakes you made ;-)
@Chris_in_MA Not sure anyone is touting him as a savior/MVP or PP specialist.
@gravey94 sonofabitch. i need to just go home. long day.
@gravey94 Maybe I should just try proofreading. What a novel idea! -_-
@KevinDeLury @_Jack I meant more that I dont actually believe that he helped at all... but didnt want to come right out and say it. That doesnt mean that I think he should be benched in favor of someone like Rupp, but I think hes been getting an unnecessary amount of praise in Ranger-land. As for the typos. I know, Kev... I just pride myself on at least trying to keep my all-things-internet up to my own standards and not falling into the 'its just the internet' standard for which the vast majority of people have succumbed.
