"Zach's keeping all of his options open," said Wade Arnot
...and the Rangers are back in!
...if Rangers are going to make big splash, would rather sign Parise than give up huge assets for Nash or Ryan.
No Schultz for Rangers as he signs with Edmonton. Don't see Del Zotto getting moved now, meaning very doubtful Nash happens.
We have a terrible track record with former Devils stars, and the money scares me. We might be better off in the long run trading to get Ryan at $5.1 mil than trying to sign Parise at what will likely be between $6.5-7 mil.
And no I don't want Nash, even if it were for a bag of pucks.
He stated this in the devils locker room on their disband day....what did you expect him to say? Regardless, everyone plays for the team that signs a check with the most zeros at the end....so it's not pretending when the rangers certainly have enough to make a good offer.
Even though he has publicly stated he is NOT going to sign with NY, let's keep pretending like he was faking it.
Nash and Ryan are both better players than Parise. And the Rangers aren't going to use every one of the Prospects in their system. So if the right deal is there I think they should take it.
@TheNYRBlog Agree with your comment about Nash vs. Parise. Would be huge if we could get him without giving up anything. Longshot though.
I just wanted to say that I am loving the Blog updates. It feels like forever since I've had a good fix. Thanks for doing this. The Rangers junkies really appreciate it. Do what you can, when you can. Go Rangers!!!!
Gomez was never that good, he was unproven. As for Lindros and Drury, we got them in the twilight Of thee career...not exactly when you want them. Parise is in his prime, and like his daddy said, he would fit in well with the rangers system.
@TheNYRBlog I take praise rather then Nash. Then trade some assets for key pieces for a cup run. I don't us getting zach
Parise should not be an option for the Rangers. They don't need another undersized forward. Plus rivalry signings never pan out.(reference Gomez, Lindros, Drury, etc...)
@TheNYRBlog I would love this. Much rather sign a guy like Zach than uproot the team and chemistry for one player
@TheNYRBlog agent prob told him he's crazy to eliminate NYR if only from upping price from other teams
Doubt the Rangers are in on him, but at the same time when that reporter asked Parise about playing for the Rangers, did you think he was really going to say yes?
@TheNYRBlog ok so now can I be happy u r back or are u gonna keep posting and tell us u r not "officially" back?
@TheNYRBlog that would be a disaster for the @thenyrangers Parise is not worth the money he is demanding
@KevinDeLury --- A lot of potential ramifications there ...
