20 Years of Draft Hits & Misses

Newsday takes a look at the Rangers first round picks over the last 20 years.

The hits included Alexei Kovalev (1991), Niklas Sundstrom (1993) and Marc Staal (2005).

While the misses are Peter Ferraro (1992), Dan Cloutier (1994), Jeff Brown (1996), Stefan Cherneski (1997), Manny Malhotra (1998), Pavel Brendl (1999), Jamie Lundmark (1999), Hugh Jessiman (2003), Al Montoya (2004) and Bobby Sanguinetti (2006).

Incomplete: Dan Blackburn (2001) and Alexei Cherepanov (2007).

Too early to tell: Michael Del Zotto (2008), Chris Kreider (2009) and Dylan McIlrath (2010).

...man there are a lot more misses than hits.
